Hay Bales and Early Morning Fog in Stayton, Oregon

Cylindrical hay bales in a field with a layer of early morning fog

We moved here to Oregon at the beginning of the dry, sunny days of summer. So from the time we got here fields were being mowed and hay baled throughout the region and I was intrigued by the scenes I saw. I have never seen fields of hay bales in LA. Then one afternoon I was driving through Stayton when I passed this field. I liked the look of it and I wanted to come back to photograph it at some point. So I returned early one morning and I was pleasantly surprised to find a layer of fog over the surface of the field to add to the look of the scene. So here you have a little glimpse into hay season in Oregon.
