We have had a gorgeous summer here in Oregon, with no rain to speak of since we arrived in July. There has been constant talk of the good weather coming to an end any day, and that day finally came. Torrey and I brought the kids down to Garibaldi on Tillamook Bay to spend a few days with my cousin Daniel and his family. We got here Thursday and the weather was perfect, but overnight the rains began. So this morning when Daniel and I headed off to shoot the sunrise, we were greeted with gray skies and plenty of rain. It was a big hassle to keep the water off our lenses, but I managed to get a few shots that I was happy with. Since there was no color in the sky I went with black and white with most of them. I really enjoy black and white anyway, so I had a great time working through this set. Enjoy these images from Cape Kiwanda this morning.
